The Advanced Search feature in the new interface offers the same powerful functionality as the old. The only changes are an improved graphic look and the use of paired grids, as opposed to multi-select boxes, for choosing the elements of the query.
To run an advanced search, click the Contacts tab and you’re taken to the Contacts Home Page, featuring Real Magnet’s new grid view format. These grids are found throughout the new application, perhaps most notably on the home pages of each Real Magnet tab. The screen shots below compares the old Contacts Home Page to the new one:

You’ll also note that the function buttons previously located at the top of the Contacts Home Page have been relocated to a left navigation pane creating a cleaner and more organized work space.
To run an advanced search, click the Advanced Search link in the left navigation pane and you’ll be taken to the Advance Search criteria selection page. Next, select the categories of the criteria you want to include in the advanced search. Let’s say, for example, we want a list of all recipients with a “realmagnet.com” domain who opened the March and April newsletters. You would make these selections and click the Submit button at the bottom of the page:
The next page is where you’ll see the most important change in the process for conducting an advanced search. Rather than selecting the messages (or any other assets such as groups, for example) to include in the search from a multi-select box, you select them from Real Magnet’s new paired grid system.
The new paired grid system makes it easier to identify those assets (in this case, messages) that are to be included in the advanced search. Under the top Available Messages section, select the messages you want to include in the search and they are transferred to the Selected Messages section below automatically. If you want to deselect a message, simply deselect the check box in the Selected Messages section and the message is transferred back to the Available Messages section. Once you have selected the messages to include in the Advanced Search, click the Submit button and your search will be run.

The results of your query are displayed in a recipient report.
