Over a year in development, the new Real Magnet interface launched on May 1st. At first glance, the changes may seem dramatic. But beyond the new look and a few work flow changes, it’s really the old MagnetMail (and yes, even the name has changed!). In fact, it’s even better. Enhanced Reporting and Dashboards modules, Domain level tracking, and a Template Library are brand new features included in the upgrade.

The Grid System
The most notable change to the Real Magnet work flow is the replacement of pull-down menus with grids on the Home Page of each module. Grids make it easier to navigate through the assets of each module. Additionally, Paired Grids are used to improve the work flow of selecting groups, messages, and other assets throughout the new interface.
Send to a Group
The process of sending a message to a group (or groups) remains largely the same. The only substantive change is the use of the paired grids, as opposed to check boxes, for selecting the groups to send to.
Uploading a List
Except for the new graphic look and the replacement of the pull-down menus for a grid on the Contacts Home Page, changes to the work flow for uploading a list are minor.
Creating a Message
The only change to the work flow for creating and editing message is the replacement of the pull-down menus for grids on the Messages Home page. Otherwise, the process is exactly the same as in the old inteface
View Tracking/Domain Tracking
In addition to improved, eye-grabbing graphics, Real Magnet now includes domain level tracking. Real Magnet tracks the popular free services (AOL, Gmail, Yahoo!, etc.) as well as up to 25 other domains selected by you!
Enhanced Reports and Dashboard Modules
The new Enhanced Reports Module consists of 50 + pre-defined reports – spanning categories such as Sent, Opens, Links, Unsubscribes, and Bounces. Reports can be customized and populated on a user-specific Dashboard.
Add a Recipient
The process of creating a new recipient in the Real Magnet data base continues to be a simple one. The only change is the introduction of a grid in place of pull-down menus on the Contacts Home page.
Send to an Individual
The actions required to send to a message to an individual are basically the same. The only change is the introduction of a grid in place of pull-down menus on the Send Home page.
Advanced Search
Advanced Search offers the same powerful functionality as the old interface. The only changes are an improved graphic look and the use of paired grids, as opposed to multi-select boxes, for choosing the elements of the query.-

Template Library
Real Magnet’s Template Library is comprised of more than 30 eye-catching, easy-to-use templates. It is a free feature that offers a variety of template options.
